Abnormal rotation sound detection and analysis is an analysis method that uses auscultation to monitor the working state of the bearing. The common tool is a long screwdriver with a wooden handle, and a hard plastic tube with an outer diameter of about 20mm can also be used. In contrast, the use of electronic stethoscopes for monitoring is more conducive to improving the reliability of monitoring. When the bearing is in normal working condition, it runs smoothly, briskly, without stagnation, the sound is harmonious and no noise, and a uniform and continuous "boom" sound or a lower "boom" sound can be heard. The bearing failure reflected by the abnormal sound is as follows.
 
1) The bearing emits a uniform and continuous "sizzling" sound, which is generated by the rotation of the rolling elements in the inner and outer rings and contains irregular metal vibrations that have nothing to do with the speed. The general performance is insufficient grease in the bearing and should be supplemented. If the equipment is down for a long time, especially in the low-temperature conditions in winter, the sound of "sizzling" may sometimes be emitted during the operation of the bearing, which is related to the decrease of the radial clearance of the bearing and the decrease of the penetration of the grease. The bearing clearance should be adjusted appropriately, and new grease with a greater penetration should be replaced.
 
2) The bearing emits a uniform and periodic "Ho Luo" sound in the continuous "swoosh" sound. This sound is caused by the scars, grooves and rust spots on the rolling elements and the inner and outer ring raceways. The period of the sound is proportional to the speed of the bearing. The bearing should be replaced.
 
3) The bearing makes an irregular and uneven "chatter" sound, which is caused by impurities such as iron filings and sand particles falling into the bearing. The sound intensity is small and has no relation to the number of revolutions. The bearing should be cleaned, regreasing or oil change.
 
4) The bearing emits a continuous and irregular "sand" sound, which is generally related to the loose fit between the inner ring and the shaft or the loose fit between the outer ring and the bearing hole. When the sound intensity is high, the matching relationship of the bearing should be checked, and the problem should be repaired in time.
